Toby Kurth was raised in San Diego and Monterey. He attended college at UC Davis where he graduated with a BS in Environmental Policy and Planning. While working as a consultant in the environmental industry, Toby earned his masters in historical theology from Westminster Seminary in California and has completed coursework towards a PhD in history at Stony Brook University in New York. Toby is also a graduate of Sovereign Grace Ministries’ Pastors College.

Toby met his wife, Rebekah, in college while at Davis, where she was born and raised. They have been married for 10 years and have 2 boys, age 7 and 2, and a third on the way. While in New York, Toby, Rebekah, and their boys enjoyed living in Brooklyn where they served on a church plant. Toby regularly preached, led small groups, and worked alongside the rest of the team to build a new church in the city.
